Action Plan Tech Solutions

Something is wrong and you do not know what to do about it.

That is the normal place to start, and it is a bad place to commission a six month build from. A Speedrun is short, light and fixed: we take one question, work fast, and you end up holding something real.

Start a Speedrun

Four ways to run one

  • Rapid system building

“We need something working now, not next quarter.”

The one process that is costing you most, running as software, fast.

We take the single worst bottleneck rather than the whole operation, and build software around it in a fixed window. It is assembled from patterns we have shipped before instead of designed from nothing, which is what makes it quick. It is real software and it is yours, and it is built so a fuller system can grow out of it later rather than replace it.

    • One process, picked on the first call
    • Built on patterns we have already shipped
    • Working software at the end, not a prototype
    • A path to extend it, if you decide to
  • Website development

“We need to look real by the end of the month.”

A site that does the job, without a bespoke design project attached.

Lighter than our full build: proven layouts and components rather than a ground-up design, so it goes live in a fraction of the time. More generic by design, and honest about that. If what you need is to stop losing enquiries because the site looks like nobody is home, this is the one.

    • Proven layouts rather than bespoke design
    • Built to rank and to convert from day one
    • Content structure you can edit yourself
    • Upgradeable to a full build later
  • SEO and SEM

    “Nobody finds us.”

Get found, and measure it on enquiries rather than on traffic.

Technical search setup, the pages that actually answer what people type, and paid search where it earns its place. Measured on enquiries that reach your inbox, because ranking for a term nobody buys on is a vanity metric.

    • Technical and on-page search setup
    • The pages that answer real search intent
    • Paid search where it earns its place
    • Reporting against enquiries, not impressions
  • CTO as a service

“We have developers but nobody senior to steer them.”

Senior technical judgement, without a full-time hire.

Someone accountable for the architecture, the roadmap and the hiring calls, working alongside whoever you already have. Useful when the code is being written but nobody is deciding what should get written, or when you need a technical voice in the room before you commit to something large.

    • Architecture and roadmap decisions, with reasons
    • Code and vendor review
    • A technical voice in rooms where it is missing
    • Handover, because the goal is you not needing it

How a Speedrun runs.

The window and the question are both agreed before anything starts, and neither moves once it has. That is the whole mechanism: you are buying a bounded piece of work, not opening a project.

  1. 01What we are answering

    Scope

One call to settle what the Speedrun has to answer and how long it runs. Both are fixed before it starts, so neither moves under you.

  2. 02How it really works

    Dig

Access to the systems, and time with the people who actually use them. Days, not months, so it has to be the right people.

  3. 03What you walk away with

    Ship

Working software, a live site, a search setup, or a written plan. Whatever the Speedrun was for, it exists at the end and it is yours.

  4. 04No default, no drift

    Decide

Carry on with us, take it somewhere else, or stop. Nothing rolls over into a bigger engagement unless you say so.

When a Speedrun is the wrong call.

If you already know exactly what needs building and it is large, a Speedrun just adds a step. Go straight to digitalization instead. We would rather say that on the first call than sell you a sprint you do not need.

Tell us the one thing that is slowing you down and we will tell you what a Speedrun would do about it

A 30 minute call with the people who would run it. If it is not the right fit we will say so.
